Immigration

The Immigration Department is an arm of the Guyana Police Force. Immigration Officers are located in both the Arrivals and Departures areas.

Customs

Customs Officers are part of the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA), established under the aegis of the Laws of Guyana Chap. 82:01.

The GRA is responsible for collecting Security Fees and Departure Taxes from outgoing international passengers.

Medical Services

CJIA does not have a Medical Center. However we utilize the services of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Medical Center, which is located near to the airport.

Anyone requiring medical assistance should contact the Airport Duty Officer at the office located just outside the Arrivals area.

Postal Services

The Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC) has a branch at the CJIA. In addition to postal services, they offer the following:

• Money Order
• Money Transfer
• Payment of local utility bills (electricity, telephone and water).
