Tourist Information

The Tourist Information Centre is managed by the Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana (THAG) and is located just beyond the Customs exit. Information on Guyana and/or tourism (maps, brochures, magazines, etc.) can be collected at this centre.

CJIA Taxi Association

Taxis at the airport are managed by the CJIA Taxi Association. Taxi drivers employed with this association may be identified by their uniforms (off-white shirt jack and black pants) and identification badges.

Each taxi is equipped with a listing of destinations and the charges for each location. CJIA Corp. recommends the use of taxis from the CJIA Taxi Association.

Red Cap Services

Red Caps are contracted employees of the Corporation who assist passengers with their luggage to and from road transportation. These employees are uniformed and can easily be identified by the red cap and identification badges they wear.

The recommended fee is G$100 per bag (fee is subject to change).
Tipping is left to the passenger’s discretion.
